Like everyone, I do have my favorites. Tools that I tend to use a lot or that just feel right in my hands. While scrapers tend to be my tool of choice, I do have a more than passing interest in shaves. Maybe because they seem to work like a scraper

These are some of my favorite shaves:

The Bailey is the oldest shave I own and I really don't use it much, but it still works well though the blade is on it's last 1/2"

The Millers Falls shave can be configured four different ways, certainly a very handy shave to have around.

All of the Cincinnati Tool Co. shaves are pretty hefty. No light duty shaves there, all are designed to take a big bite. Blades are as heavy as the frames, usually made by Hargrave, and a lot thicker than the Stanley equivalent.

not shown: the Millers Falls No. 1 cigar shave, the Stanley No. 67 and the Stanley No. 70-80's series of low angle shaves. All excellent shaves.
