The Stanley No. 92 gauge was the top of the Stanley line for marking gauges. Rosewood hear and brass stem with steel faceplate.

Used for marking rabbeted door jambs, the cutter in the open slot marks from the jamb in  the rabbet. The opposite cutter marks from the edge of the door; and the cutter under the head marks the thickness of the butt hinge.

Extending the cutter outside of the end of the gauge, you can also use it as a morticing gauge.

One of the best and most usefull marking gauges you can own.

Excellent condition, with only very minor toolbox dings, brass shoe under the tightening screw is a replacement.
